Helen's Story
After graduation from VHS in 1969 I attended UNLV majoring in music education. In 1972 I married William Leon Ransom and moved to Orem, Utah. For the next several years we moved around the Western US following career opportunities. Our family grew during that time, as we added four sons and three daughters. They., in turn, have blessed us with twelve grandchildren.
By 1989 we had moved to Dallas, TX. I started work arranging Six Sigma training seminars across the US. In 1991 I moved on to become administrative assistant to the VP of Environmental Affairs for an international construction company. eorgia in 2003 to work closer with one of Nokia's larger customers. I was working as Logistics Manager when Nokia decided to outsource the logistics department and I found myself working for Capgemini Consulting. I spent a year training the new logistics team and transitioning the work to them in India. This gave me the opportunity to spend six weeks in India overseeing the the team in the New Delhi office.
While I was in India my husband was diagnosed with cancer. He lost the fight in November 2011 and I retired January 2012. Now I spend my time traveling around the world, visiting friends and family. Keeping up with my grandchildren keeps me feeling young. In my spare time I enjoy reading, music and antiques.
